Chiwon received his B.S. degree in Science Education from Kyungnam University in 2016. He then earned his M.S. degree in Chemistry from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) in 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Christopher W. Bielawski, focusing on synthetic macromolecular chemistry based on polyhedral hydrocarbon structures. He went on to complete his Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering at Pusan National University under the supervision of Prof. Hyun-jong Paik and Dr. Youngchang Yu at the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT) in 2025. His doctoral research focused on controlled radical polymerization for the development of sustainable and elastic polymeric materials. Currently, he is a postdoctoral fellow at The University of Texas at Austin, working under the supervision of Prof. Zachariah A. Page. His research focuses on harmonizing polymer science and 3D printing technologies by controlling polymer networks through multifunctional crosslinking, with the goal of developing robust polymeric materials.
