keldymason@utexas.edu

Keldy obtained his B.S. in Chemistry with ACS certification from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR in 2020. While at Lewis & Clark, Keldy conducted research for Dr. Barbara Balko focused on developing a technique to detect iron oxides in solution via quenching of graphene quantum dots. He also completed an internship through the John S. Rogers Science Research Program under the mentorship of Dr. Louis Kuo to investigate the degradation of phosphorothioates with a molybdenum-peroxo catalyst. Keldy continued his research for Dr. Kuo through an honors thesis. Keldy completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry under the supervision of Dr. Zak Page in 2025, where he worked on engineering soft materials across length scales for programmable performance. Dr. Mason is now an Associate Polymer Science and Materials Chemist at Exponent Inc. in Menlo Park, CA.
